RISA MORIMOTO (Director/Producer) www.edgewoodpictures.com
Risa is a director and producer for film, television (A&E) and the internet. Her award-winning documentary about surviving Kamikaze pilots, Wings of Defeat, aired nationally on PBS’ Independent Lens and in over 15 countries. She has produced the feature film, The LaMastas, and directed, produced, shot and edited several short films and documentaries. Risa received her Master’s degree in film and education from NYU in 1999 while serving as the Associate Director of the Asian/Pacific/American Studies Institute. Risa was the Executive Director of Asian CineVision, a non-profit media arts organization from 2002-2006. In 2009, Risa received a Japan Foundation research fellowship.
SUSAN C. COOK (Producer) www.littlewolfproductions.org
A project manager for 15 years, Susan has worked on numerous projects which involve complex management skills. Her work has encompassed systems development, international conferences, and interfaith service projects. She is the President of the Foxhall Endowment Fund (Kansas City Community Foundation), and is on the Board of the North American Interfaith Network (NAIN). Her volunteer work has included chairing several International conferences and interfaith projects. Her role is particularly valued as the documentary team leader for the production of a documentary film on FreeSchools World Literacy in India in 2009.
PETER LAURENCE (Producer) www.littlewolfproductions.org
Dr. Laurence is Executive Director and co-editor of the Education as Transformation Project at Wellesley College and has produced a wide range of educational materials on social issues. In 2005 he co-produced Beyond Tolerance: A Campus Religious Diversity Kit in collaboration with the National Association for Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA). Dr. Laurence served as producer for the television documentaries Visions of Perfect Worlds with H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama; The Art of Being Human about the philosophy and work of artist/philosopher Frederick Franck (Cine Golden Eagle award, broadcast on WNET New York and other PBS stations); and producer/director of Creating Multifaith Community at Wellesley College.
SUSAN WRIGHT MOGILKA (Music Director)
Susan is on the faculty of the Academy of Contemporary Music at the
University of Central Oklahoma. She is a professor of voice, songwriting
and keyboard. She is a songwriter; studio musician; www.stvitusdancehall.com; Oklahoma Christian accompanist; piano/voice teacher at the Norman Music Institute, and is the singer with the Al Good Orchestra. She has enlisted two time Grammy Award winner, Chris Hicks, saxophone player for Reba McIntire, for this film.
GARY DEINSTADT (Sound Editor/ Designer) www.garydeinstadt.com
Gary is a two -time Emmy Award winning composer/ sound editor/
designer and music director for film and television. He also has nine
Emmy nominations prior. Gary is also the recipient of two BMI film
and television music awards. His experience is extensive at CBS
television where he worked as a composer and audio post supervisor.
He has also worked on various film productions including shorts/
webisodes /documentaries etc that have and continually air on A&E/
History channel.
